Right Side Up - Heavenly Father

The Lord's Prayer

' One day in a place where Jesus had just finished praying, one of His disciples requested, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
So Jesus told them, “When you pray, say:
‘Father, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation. '

Luke 11:1-4

Prayer

Every generation was taught by the preceding generation how or what to pray. And it just all depends with, to whom they pray to.

Every belief system (including unbelief) have their exercises, procedures and processes. Every kind have rituals and a list of phrases to recite. They have prayer beads and incense, they have incantations, breathing techniques and "magic" words, they have sacrifices, gongs, bells or whistles, they have water, oil, ash or sand and several other things in order to reach a transcendent state.

Simple

Jesus taught His disciples a very simple and practical way to pray.

As far as I know, Jesus is the only One who taught His disciples to call the God of Creation, as Our Father (Abba).

New Tradition

When Jesus did this and with all His teachings, He started a whole new tradition and turned the world upside down. He taught of both earthly and heavenly things, because He has experienced both, He is both Son of God and Son of Man.

When He taught of earthly things, many did not understand, until He explained it to them. When He taught of heavenly things, it blew their minds and many wanted to kill Him.

Holy Spirit

Jesus said, regarding His Words, that when the Holy Spirit comes, He will explain them. That's the Holy Spirit's work.

We are living in the age of the Holy Spirit and thus the time to reveal the explanations of the Words of Christ is upon us, by the Spirit of God.

Beginning of the Church

50 days after Jesus resurrected back from the dead (at Pentecost), the Holy Spirit came down and He has been every true believer's Teacher, Comforter, Advocate and Ever present Help. This was when the church started.

God Our Father

Jesus of Nazareth was the first One to refer to the God of Creation, Our Father.

He said to Israel's teacher of teachers:
'No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.'

Jesus was saying that He has the secrets of heaven and He said, He and the Father are One.

And continued:

"If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me. But if I am doing them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works themselves, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I am in the Father.”

And the things He did, the work He has done were irrefutable.

And this was why Nicodemus, Israel's teacher told Jesus

Rabbi, we all know you’re a teacher straight from God. No one could do all the things you do if God Himself wasn’t in on it.

Galatians 4:6

"And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.”
