Born Again? I Know I Am. But Why?

This is now the ninth message in this series, if you missed any or all of the previous messages, I would recommend that you read through them first. You could find the links @ the end of this message.

Rebirth

No real born again believer would be able to stand up, much less stand singing to God for even five minutes if they have not been reborn in the Spirit. That would be a real test for anyone.

It would be natural for the Spirit of God (living inside a believer), to be in tune with heavenly singing. Now if it was any other spirit in you, you'd know they would not be able to.

To shake things up, we will not begin this message with a passage of Scripture but instead we will sing it and hopefully sing from our heart, our spirit and mean what we say...

Original video above no longer working, substituted something else below:

Stop Running (Away) Little Sheep

Are you still running away, like a little lost sheep? Are you hungry, thirsty, scared? Are you begging for love? Are you looking for affirmation, a place to fit in? Have you been emotionally scarred, physically hurt by anything, anyone? Have you given up hope?

If you are. It's time to quit running, it's time to stop running away. It's time to stop hiding, from yourself, from others, from your Source.

He will not stop, you know. He will keep on pursuing you. If you were the only one left behind, He will leave the others and go look for you.

But never will He force you.

You have to be the one to decide to give up running, stop hiding and make a decision to be "found".

It is time. Stop running. Come back, come back to Him.

Parable of the Lost Sheep

"Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach. This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that he was associating with such sinful people—even eating with them!

So Jesus told them this story: “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!" Luke 15:1-7

Jesus didn't come for those who think they have it all together. He didn't come for those who are healthy. He did not come for those who have no need of saving. He came for you and me... Why? To breathe His Spirit in us, like He first did to the dust of the earth to make the first human. He wants us to be reborn, to be alive again, here and in eternity.
