A Reason For Everything

To Everything There Is a Season

"To everything there is a season,
and a time for every purpose under heaven:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to break down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to cast away stones and a time to gather stones together,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

a time to search and a time to count as lost,

a time to keep and a time to discard,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace."
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

In God's Perfect Timing and Purpose

I was browsing through Facebook and came across this article titled:

It's Time to Make Jesus Known

Then the caption read:
We long to go back to normal, but maybe God is calling us to a new normal—where we no longer see the walls of the church building as the boundaries for evangelism.

In about two minutes I left on it this comment:

"Isn't this the very essence of the Great Commission, the very last Words of the Risen Christ before He was taken up to heaven?

Jesus did not command His followers merely to be in a building with four walls. They were in isolation, during the time Jesus died and was buried (just like we did during the lockdown). Then Jesus came back to them for 40 days before He was eventually taken up.

His last Words include stay until the Promise. And then you will receive power to evangelize (go out into the world). Yes not prior. Not on their own strength. Not on their own agenda. Not in their own purpose, but by the Spirit of the Living God.

2,000 years have passed and maybe, it's time to go back to how it was supposed to be. The first believers met in their homes -- in house churches. They helped each other. They sang psalms, hymns, new songs. They worshipped in Spirit and in Truth. They lived their lives on earth with the mentality that Jesus is coming back soon to take them, His bride (His church) home.

It is time to come back to the real roots of Christianity, back to the inception of the church, perfectly just in time for Pentecost 2020. And see it oh so clearly, yes 20-20. Nothing happens by accident. All things work together for good. God is calling His people. He is calling them back home. He/She who has ears to hear, let them hear."

Indeed it is about time!
