Our God - I Am

“I am the God of your father: The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.” Exodus 3:6

[This is the 9th message of this series]

Continuing in this series of lessons, looking at excerpts above from the Jewish Scriptures, written by the Ancient Israel Prophet Moses, we will connect it with the gospel of Jesus Christ as written in the Christian Scriptures.

Jesus said:

I am the Way
I am the Truth
I am the Life
I am the Door
I am the True Vine
I am the Resurrection
I am the Light of the world
I am the Bread of life
I am the Good Shepherd
before Abraham was, I am
I am with you always
I am from above
I am Alpha and Omega
I am the Beginning and the End

As we can see, Jesus has numerous "I am" sayings He also said He and the Father are One.

He said, He will never leave us nor forsake us, and He will be with us until the end of the age.

One God

The God of Moses didn't say He was nor He said, He will be. He said, I am.

He said, I AM who I AM.

He's always here and now

God is always in the present tense, He is not limited by time or space or circumstance -- He is The Great I Am, anytime, anywhere to everyone.

Three In One

Indeed He, Jesus and The Holy Spirit, our ever present Help are One.

Jesus said He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

He is our past, our present and our future.

God is all three, He is three in one.

God is always God.

He never changes. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the God of Christianity is One -- the God of Creation, the God of heaven and earth, the God who redeemed us, Our Redeemer, Our Deliverer, Our Portion, the Word of the Lord, the Spirit of God, the God who goes before us, the God who is by our side, and the God who stands behind us.
