God's Glory - God's Spirit

"We share the same spirit of faith as the one who wrote the psalm, “I believed; therefore I spoke.” We also believe, and that belief leads us to acknowledge that the same God who resurrected the Lord Jesus will raise us with Jesus and will usher us all together into His presence. All of this is happening for your good. As grace is spread to the multitudes, there is a growing sound of thanks being uttered by those relishing in the glory of God."

2 Corinthians 4:13-15 in the Voice Bible Version

[This is the 8th lesson of this series]

Resurrected

This song sums up the excerpt above (2 Cor 4:13-15), and indeed sums up this series of messages as a whole.

Christians sing songs of praise and thanskgiving, in awe and worship, of the God who made it possible for us to be reunited with Him and live forever.

All these are of course, nonsense to those who do not believe and needless to say, to those who do not understand. But for those who do, it is the one thing that has made everything in their life  (everything that has happened, everything currently happening and everything that will come to pass) to make sense.

Complete Picture

No one can know everything. Many things are blurred, trivial, veiled, obscured, hidden, without meaning, no purpose, no sense. But with the gospel of Christ, every little piece of everything will fit into its proper place, with the big picture becoming clearer and clearer every day and will come to fruition on the Day of the Lord. On this day the Glory of God will be fully revealed -- on His 2nd coming. The 1st time, God's Glory was only revealed to those who saw Christ. After Christ ascended back to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to explain everything.

And so apart from the Holy Spirit, all these are nonsense to those who don't believe in God, or merely head knowledge to those who believe superficially.

It is Him, the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit who testifies to all these, He is the One who guides, teaches and convicts. He speaks in a still small voice. If we shut everything out, we will hear Him. Some calls Him their conscience. Yet some, or those with hard hearts will not listen, even if they can hear Him.

When we read Scriptures, we can hear Him speak through the written Word. We can even hear Him speak through other people or our circumstances. But God will not force anyone to believe in Him. We are free to believe whatever we want to believe. It's our choice.
