Movie Night

"If our Message is obscure to anyone, it’s not because we’re holding back in any way. No, it’s because these other people are looking or going the wrong way and refuse to give it serious attention. All they have eyes for is the fashionable god of darkness. They think he can give them what they want, and that they won’t have to bother believing a Truth they can’t see. They’re stone-blind to the dayspring brightness of the Message that shines with Christ, who gives us the best picture of God we’ll ever get." 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 MSG

Preview / Free Sample

Most people select movies or TV shows by sampling the first few minutes -- much like tasting the free food from Costco, Panda Express or the farmer's market.

If it appears uninteresting by their own standards then they move on the next. So on one stormy movie night at home, it is not unusual for someone to surf through dozens of shows before one finds something that's good enough to watch. Often times, the selecting process can be longer than the actual movie.

And so art imitates life, or life imitates art. Many movies or TV shows may look good or bad because of the first scene, but turns out quite the opposite.

Preconditioned

One cannot really judge the entire show because of the intro scene or the trailer. But we do, because we have been preconditioned by everything around us to do so. Even now, you wish you've never read this far, but guess what, you will decide depending on everything that has happened to you up this point in time (good and bad) if you will continue reading or not.

And like in most everything else, you will do just as you wish, as it is really not easy to make you do what you don't want to do.

Still Here?

Let's go back to our point -- everything really is hidden in plain sight. And that is why it is so hard to see them.

Haven't you realized that many things you've spend some time looking for, and still couldn't find, until someone casually point it out for you, and it was just in front of you all this time.

Stories

In the bible, Jesus of Nazareth told stories, called parables to everyone, the educated, the rich, the powerful and the ordinary.

These parables are stories that happen everyday, but like movies they all have hidden meanings and most of their meanings are never fully understood. Yes, unless when He explained it. But like a movie writer, He rarely does explain it. When you take off your blindfolds, then He will start to explain them to you.

And what are your blindfolds? They are the ones that tell you, there is nothing worth listening to, to the Words Jesus is saying...

But when you're ready. You can go check them out. Just hope they are still available.
