Origins (of Our Mandate)

This is the 8th message of this series]
In the preceding messages, we've learned about how the first followers of Jesus finally believed Him and also how succeeding believers after them were able to do the same.
Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow and this is why Christianity is still here after 2,000 years, and even after all the persecution and attempts to silence it.
[Gamaliel had the right idea when he said something like if this is from human origin then it will die a natural death, like all the ones that came before it, but if it is of divine origin, then whatever they do will put a stop to it]
The Great Commission
Today on the eighth message of this series, it appears that there is no day of rest for the believer as the message is that everyone of them has been commissioned (or given a mandate, a charge) to:
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that Jesus have commanded them. And to remember that "I am" (the God of creation, God's Word and God's Spirit is) with them always, even to the end of the age.
Jesus told His disciples that: As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.
There is No Over Time
Yes, the time is coming and fast approaching when the workday will be over. On that day, it is End of Watch. This means Game Over. The clock reads 0:00. The bell rang. And the buzzer has gone off.
When the gospel has been shared to all the world (which the technology we have today is finally making it possible), then that day will come.
Science and technology will help make it happen.
Matthew 24:3-14
Signs of the End of Time
'As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen? What will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?”
Yeshua answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray!'
For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will lead many astray.
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must happen but it is not yet the end.
For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
But all these things are only the beginning of birth pains.
“Then they will hand you over to persecution and will kill you. You will be hated by all the nations because of My name.
And then many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one other.
Many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.
Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.
But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
This Good News of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.'
