Contradictions

Non-Christians and Christians alike have questions about the bible and the Christian faith.

If we don't, then we aren't human. That, or we haven't heard of Christianity.

Part of what makes us who we are, is that we are always questioning things, we aren't easily swayed one way or another (okay we are, depending on our biases).  But we are a thinking animal. We have intelligence. We are smart. We are rational beings. At least, we should be.

We have a series of lessons which we have been putting together to try to answer the question: When We Don't Believe.

This series is a branch, a natural offshoot of that, and mainly for those "contradictions" that we see against, or hear about the bible or the Christian belief.

Criticisms

Believe me, we do hear a lot. But these criticisms does not mean that they are contradictions.

Science has it fair share of contradictions, if not criticisms. This is why it is ever evolving. One scientific belief can be the general consensus for a period of time but be proven not true at another point in time.

This is why the scientific mind should always be open, open to the possibility that anything can be possible. Possibilities are endless.

Christianity

Christ was born 2,000 years ago. The Christian bible was written back in the 1st century, by different writers, and has now become available to us in different languages, translations and versions.

There will be criticisms and contradictions. In the Jewish bible, God told the Prophet Isaiah to come and reason together. That is the very idea of this series of lessons.

Let's sit down and start:
