Teaching - What is Needed 2

The Full Assurance of Faith "Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." Hebrews 10:19-25 in the English Standard Version [This is the  30 th  lesson of  this series ] This lesson is a continuation of the previous message where we discussed the first three verses of this excerpt above from the Book of Hebrews. We shall

"Moreover I will give you a new heart . I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the stony heart from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26 in the Tree of Life Version [This is the  9th lesson of  this series ] A widely read author and preacher wrote that a notable heresy has come into being throughout our evangelical Christian circle-the widely accepted concept that we humans can choose to accept Christ only because we need Him as Savior, and that we have the right to postpone our obedience to Him as long as we want to! Postponing Obedience I've never heard about this believer's right . And who accepted this? Delayed obedience? Really, we can do that purposely? But it is easy to understand why it might be widely accepted. Many preachers have taught messages which their pew sitters' ears were aching to hear. These are along the theme of accept Christ this day and everything will be alright, like peddling a miracle product that

Wisdom - Motives

" All a man’s ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart." Proverbs 21:2 [This is the 18th message in this series] In this series we are highlighting two-liner verses from the Book of Proverbs. Heart We touched on what's inside a man's heart in a previous lesson in this series. Studying the couplet above brings to mind that time when the Prophet Samuel went to Bethlehem, to Jesse's house to anoint the person chosen by God to be the next king. When Samuel got there, he was looking at the outward appearances of people and trying to guess who could it be that the Lord anointed king. Jewish Scriptures tell us: "But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 Motives Again, God's ways are not man's ways. In the Message Paraphrase, this couplet

Foolish Heart, Foolish Mind, Foolish Man

“The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful, a puzzle that no one can figure out. But I, God, search the heart     and examine the mind. I get to the heart of the human.     I get to the root of things. I treat them as they really are,     not as they pretend to be.” Jeremiah 17:9-10 People in real life is not like those seen in reel life. People in the movies and on TV are just that, reel not real. It is the real fantasy world. The unseen spiritual world on the other hand though not seen is very much real. So the old adage, to see is too believe is not necessarily true. You see in Hollywood, Bollywood, Hallyuwood and everywhere else in the world they make movies, the protagonist or the main character can do no wrong, while the antagonist can do nothing good. But in real life, not everything is as it seems. All is not so black or white. Throughout recorded history, people have always been mysterious. This is why we need a kit-kat break or a snickers bar. Real Not Re
