Lost Sheep 'We’re all like sheep who’ve wandered off and gotten lost.     We’ve all done our own thing, gone our own way. And God has piled all our sins, everything we’ve done wrong,     on him, on him.' Isaiah 53:6 Jesus didn't come to start a religion. The Story of the Lost Sheep "By this time a lot of men and women of doubtful reputation were hanging around Jesus, listening intently. The Pharisees and religion scholars were not pleased, not at all pleased. Many times he taught them using stories -- stories we now call as parables. Here are a few of these stories. Listen to them here  first . Note: when the pop-up window comes out and the narrator starts to speak, be sure to click on the box next to Continuous Play -- otherwise the stories will go on forever. He Was Lost And Is Found I don't know about you but the father wasn't really all that concerned with his "obedient" elder son. In fact he was all about his younger son who disobeyed him and most probably broke his heart. If you have listened to the stories (click on the link above if you haven't),  you will notice the same thing about the man who owned a hundred sheep who left the other 99 sheep who stayed with him as he went out to look for the lone lost sheep. And what did they do when they have fina
